Del Bosque on...

Re-call ups: "When Torres and Martinez didn't come in before, it was because we didn't think the moment was right. Now it is the opposite - they are both in good form."
** Torres has scored 31 goals in 101 appearances for La Roja, 22 goals in 64 appearances for Chelsea this season

Iker not playing for Madrid: "He's one of us. Iker had a small injury. I don't think it's a problem he hasn't played for a few months. He has been training and is in good condition."

Final decision: "It's almost impossible to have every player who merited a place. (Cesc) Fabregas, (David) Villa, Torres and Soldado are our four strikers. You could just as easily ask why we didn't include (Imanol) Agirretxe, Iago Aspas, Michu. We can't bring in everybody. We've deemed it fit to call up Soldado because he's had a great season. We've called up those players who are going to help us have the best tournament. Everyone wants to come. No one has said 'I am tired'. The desire to go to a great event is still in tact. We only want people who are completely committed to the national team. It's an important competition, there are four world champions and an Olympic champion there. We have to have people who are absolutely delighted to be included in the squad."

Look at who is happy to get away from Barcelona for a few days

Transfers That Didn't Happen...Yet

As we head into the second half of the football season, speculation still continues to arise between these star players and their potential move to another club.

Daniele De Rossi (Roma): Rossi has been linked with PSG and Manchester City, but Roma has denied the move over the 29-year-old. Roma director Walter Sabatini claimed “There has never been anything between PSG and Roma with regards to De Rossi’s situation. There are no meetings planned for him or for Verratti.” Rossi has been with Roma since 2001 scoring 33 goals in 295 appearances.

Falcao (Atletico Madrid): Supposedly the most speculation has come from Falcao, who has climbed to the top with Ronaldo and Messi putting a target on his back for major clubs, specifically last year's Champions League winners, Chelsea. Atletico knows Falcao will be off to bigger things come summer, as he was recently quoted, "I'm sure that I'll taste life another league at some point in my career, but right now I'm only thinking about my club." Falcao has been with Atletico since 2011, scoring 43 goals in 53 appearances. He can adjust easily and would fit in and be a danger at any club he chooses to go to next.

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (Schalke): Plain and simple, he chose a new contract over moving to the Premier League (links with Arsenal and Liverpool). "There is always something happening at Schalke. I love the extremes. When we have bad runs, the atmosphere is really bad and you feel that. But you know, when you are on a good run again, it just tops everything - then it is just super!" Since joining in 2010, he has 42 goals in 74 appearances.

Kaka (Madrid): Mourinho is leaving Kaka in the cold every match, the 2007 World Player of the Year is barely making the bench now with Real Madrid. He is an un-used star who should be fighting his way out, and maybe make a return to Milan. Milan Vice-president Adriano Galliani said the transfer was "impossible" and gave up last month. This deserving player needs a club that respects and gives him the minutes he has earned.

Kouyate (Anderlecht): Kouyate is said to be leaving in June and would like to join a team in England. Kouyate recently said, "My new club will have to pay the amount Anderlecht demands. If not, I will stay one more year."

David Villa (Barcelona): Talking about this rumor would take all day. Barcelona kept hold of Villa through the January transfer window as Arsenal pounded them with inquiries and bids for the benched superstar. Tito and company have told the public "he is ours, and we need him for the rest of the season" but don't seem to put these words into action as he is unfairly benched game after game. It is very likely that Villa, Barca's second highest goal scorer this season, will be leaving in the summer to an English side, although Atletico Madrid have the newest interest in him as they will need a replacement for Falcao. Villa has not come out with any comments concerning a transfer yet, but is fully deserving of a starting role on a team that will hopefully be competing in the Champions League next season. Villa has had links to many sides, including Manchester City, Liverpool, Everton, Tottenham...the list could go on and on. Who wouldn't want him? Since joining FCB in 2010 (and suffering a broken leg injury for 6+ months), he has scored 42 goals from his 100 official matches.

Damiao (Internacional): Damiao has insisted he will be fully committed to Internacional for a "long time" despite the interest from Tottenham. Villas-Boas has told media, "We couldn't agree on the full conditions so we've moved on." The 23-year-old has been with Inter since 2010 and has scored 28 goals in 72 appearances.

Llorente (Athletic Bilbao)- Llorente has made it official that he will indeed join Juventus on June 1. He has barely had any play time, club and country combined, as the past few months have been tough for him, filled with pressure from the fans, board and media. "It's not easy for me at the moment. Many people here are with me and love me, but another part of me just wants to leave as quickly as possible." Since 2005 he has had 79 goals in 246 appearances.
